Shipping & Delivery
Every WhiffOut hood ships as Australian stock from within Australia with free delivery, so it arrives fast and you are not paying extra to get it. It comes in one parcel with an AU plug in the box, ready to sit on the bench and plug straight into a standard wall socket. There are no US adapters to source and no voltage worries, so you can set it up and start cooking the day it lands.
Yes. Whether it is two hoods or a full bundle with filters and the care kit, everything ships together from Australia in one order with free delivery. You are not paying twice or tracking separate parcels that arrive on different days. Each unit comes with its own AU plug and AU warranty in the box, so the whole setup lands at once and is ready to go the moment you open it.
Yes. Your hood arrives as a complete, matched unit with the triple-layer filter already fitted, so there is no assembly and no working out which filter goes where. Set it on the bench beside your cooktop, plug it into a wall socket and switch it on before you start cooking. Everything you need for one benchtop is in the box, with nothing missing and nothing to source separately.
Orders & Payments
Each WhiffOut hood arrives as a matched, ready-to-run unit: the housing, the triple-layer filter already fitted, and an AU plug. There is nothing to assemble and no separate part to wait on. If you order the two-hood set, you get two complete units, each with its own AU plug and warranty cover, delivered together in one order. Kits and bundles add spare filters and a care kit so you are set from day one.
The range hood does the daily work of pulling smoke, grease and odour off your bench, but the filters are what actually capture them. The starter kit adds a spare filter set, so you never lose suction waiting on a delivery, and a care kit that keeps the aluminium mesh clean so it keeps grabbing grease at full strength. Bought together you get the complete benchtop setup in one matched delivery, with nothing to source separately.
You can, and a single hood is complete on its own for one benchtop. Buying a set together does have advantages though. Both hoods match in finish and filtration, they arrive in one delivery, and you avoid a second postage cost or waiting weeks between orders. With filters and care kits included, buying together also means you have the exact matching parts on the shelf and are never caught mid-cook without them.
Yes. There is a genuine saving on the kits and bundles versus buying the parts separately, and the two-hood set saves you a second postage cost and the wait of ordering twice. That said, the real reason to buy together is practical, not just price. You get matched units, one setup, one delivery, spare filters already on hand and a care kit ready to keep everything running at full strength.
Product Questions
You set the hood on the bench beside your cooktop, plug it into a wall socket and switch it on before you start cooking. The fan draws the rising smoke, grease and odour into the housing at the point of use, so it is captured where it happens rather than spreading through the room. Inside, the polymer layer, the aluminium mesh and the activated carbon work in sequence to trap grease and absorb smell, then clean air returns to the room.
It uses ductless recirculating filtration, which means it captures the cooking plume at the bench and cleans it rather than pushing it outside through a duct. A fan draws smoke, grease and odour into the housing, where the polymer layer, aluminium mesh and activated carbon capture grease and absorb smell in sequence. Because there is no ducting to fit, there is nothing to install and nothing to modify in your kitchen. You just plug it in and cook.
The filter is built in three parts that each handle a stage of the job. The polymer layer catches larger particles first, the aluminium condensation mesh traps the airborne grease that would otherwise settle on your surfaces, and the activated carbon layer absorbs the odour so the smell of last night's cooking does not linger. Together they mean the hood is capturing grease and smell, not just moving air around the room.
A benchtop hood suits kitchens without a built-in rangehood, such as studios, one-bedroom flats, granny flats and share houses, where installing one is not practical or allowed. It also handles cooking that happens away from the stove, like hot pot or an indoor grill at the dining table, which a fixed rangehood can never reach. You put it exactly where the smoke is, then move it when you cook somewhere else.
It suits one person or a small household cooking on a single bench in a studio, one-bedroom flat, granny flat or share-house kitchen with no built-in rangehood. It covers one cooktop, so it is ideal if you cook for yourself or one or two others and want smoke, grease and odour handled right at the pan. If you regularly cook in more than one spot, a two-hood set may suit you better.
It suits anyone who cooks in more than one spot or shares the kitchen. Think a couple or two flatmates who both cook flavour-heavy meals, or someone who sears on the cooktop and also runs a hot pot or indoor grill at the dining table. Two hoods let you cover both places you actually cook without carrying one unit back and forth, and you can keep one as a backup when filters need swapping.
The complete bundles suit a household or share house that cooks flavour-heavy meals often, or an open-plan kitchen where one benchtop unit cannot reach every cooking spot. With two hoods you can run one by the cooktop and one by the indoor grill or air fryer at the same time, or keep a backup. The two filter refills set you up for many months of daily cooking before you think about parts again.
Keep one hood parked on the kitchen bench beside the cooktop for everyday stir-fry, searing and air-fryer nights, so it is always ready the moment you start cooking. Set the second one on the dining table for Friday hot pot or an indoor BBQ, where the smoke comes off a grill in the middle of the room rather than off the stove. Between them you cover both places you actually cook.
Care & Use
Wipe the outer housing with a clean damp cloth whenever grease shows on the surface, the same as any benchtop appliance. Inside, the aluminium grease mesh lifts out and can be rinsed clean, and should be cleaned periodically to keep it trapping oil. The internal filter layers need cleaning or replacing over time to keep suction strong, which is why a spare filter set is handy to have on the shelf.
The activated carbon layer absorbs odour, and like any carbon filter it loses effectiveness over time. Replace it when you notice the smell control dropping off, that is, when cooking odours start to linger more than they used to. The aluminium mesh and polymer layer can be cleaned rather than replaced, so keeping both clean and swapping the carbon when it fades keeps the whole filter working as it should.
Care is the same for each hood. Wipe the housing of each one with a clean damp cloth whenever grease shows on the surface. Inside, clean the aluminium condensation mesh periodically to keep it trapping oil, and replace the activated carbon layer on each hood when its smell control drops off. Doing both for each unit keeps the pair working evenly, and the spare filters in a bundle mean you always have fresh layers ready.
Two signs to watch for. When the suction weakens, the grease layers are filling up and it is time to rinse the aluminium mesh or swap in the fresh triple-layer filter. When cooking smells start sneaking through and lingering, the carbon has faded and needs replacing. That is exactly what the spare triple-layer and carbon filters in a kit or bundle are for, so you can swap the moment capture drops rather than waiting on a delivery.
Returns, Refunds & Guarantee
WhiffOut backs every order with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so you have a genuine stretch of time to live with the hood and judge it across the meals you actually cook. That is long enough to try stir-fry nights, hot pot, indoor grilling and everyday searing. If it does not clear your kitchen the way you hoped within that time, get in touch and we will sort it out.
You are covered by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Set up the hood, cook your usual meals with it and see whether the smoke, grease and odour genuinely clear from your kitchen. If it is not right for you, contact us within the guarantee period for a refund. We would rather you test it properly in your own kitchen than decide from a product photo, so take the time to run it across a real week of cooking.
The same protection applies to the whole order. Everything ships together in one parcel, and if the set does not suit your kitchen you are covered by our satisfaction guarantee. Set the hoods up in the two spots you actually cook, run your normal week and see how they perform. If it is not the right fit, get in touch within the guarantee period and we will make it right.
Yes. Because we ship as Australian stock from within Australia, every unit comes with local AU warranty cover in the box, not an overseas supplier you have to chase. If something goes wrong with the hood, you deal with an Australian setup rather than sorting out returns to another country. Combined with the 30-day satisfaction guarantee, that means you are covered both ways, on how it performs and on the unit itself.
About WhiffOut
Yes. We ship as AU stock from within Australia, so your order arrives fast with an AU plug in the box and local warranty cover. That means no US adapters, no voltage worries and no chasing an overseas supplier if you have a question or a problem. It is a deliberate choice, because a benchtop appliance should turn up ready to plug in and work, not leave you sorting out parts before you can cook.
